The honest version is simple: the drawing repeats, the parcel does not. Access, foundation, utilities, engineering loads, and the reviewing authority differ on every site, and those are the items that decide feasibility and cost.

A-Hut does not supply prefab framing. We are not a panel plant, truss manufacturer or framing package reseller, and we do not publish townhome or multifamily framing work. What A-Hut does is design-and-build from ten drawn cabin, barn-style and garden-office models, with the property review, drawings, engineering coordination and construction scope set out in a written agreement per parcel.

  • Prefab framing is a materials product

    A prefab or panelised framing package is manufactured wall panels, floor cassettes or roof trusses delivered to a site for a crew to erect. That is a lumber and component supply business. A-Hut is not a framing manufacturer, panel plant or truss supplier, and does not resell framing packages.

  • Owner-builder framing searches

    If you are acting as your own general contractor and looking for a framing shell to erect yourself, the supplier you need is a component manufacturer or a framing subcontractor. What A-Hut can give an owner-builder is the earlier part: a drawn cabin model, the property review that tells you whether it fits the parcel, and the drawing and engineering coordination scope written into the agreement.

  • Townhome and multifamily framing

    A-Hut's ten models are single-structure cabin, barn-style and garden-office designs. We do not publish townhome, duplex or multifamily framing work, and we will not claim experience in a building type our drawings do not cover.

  • Where the work happens

    Project feasibility depends on the parcel and the authority reviewing it. Rather than list towns we have not worked in, the site keeps planning notes for the areas it can describe honestly — see the service areas page, and send a parcel address if your location is not listed.

    A model-based cabin design and build practice. Ten drawn plans give you repeatable, predictable layouts, and each project is developed for the parcel it will stand on.

  • What A-Hut is not

    Not a real-estate listing of in-stock cabins, not a land seller, and not a shipped flat-pack DIY kit you assemble yourself. We do not advertise a kit product we cannot verify.

  • Why the distinction matters

    Kit pricing looks simple because it excludes what actually varies in Colorado: access, foundation, utilities, engineering for local snow and wind, and jurisdiction review.

Does A-Hut supply prefab framing packages in Colorado?
No. A-Hut is not a framing manufacturer or panel supplier, and does not sell wall panels, floor cassettes or roof trusses. A-Hut works from ten drawn cabin models and the design, coordination and construction scope written into the project agreement.
I am an owner-builder looking for a framing shell. Can A-Hut help?
Not with the framing supply itself. What A-Hut can help with is choosing a model, reviewing the property, and the drawing and engineering coordination scope agreed in writing. The framing material package would come from a component supplier or framing subcontractor.
Does A-Hut do townhome or multifamily prefab framing?
No. The ten published models are single-structure cabin, barn-style and garden-office designs. We do not publish townhome, duplex or multifamily work.
Does A-Hut work in Bayfield or southwest Colorado?
The site publishes planning notes only for areas it can describe honestly, and Bayfield is not one of them. Send the parcel address through the contact page and we will tell you plainly whether the location is one we can take on.
Does A-Hut sell cabin kits in Colorado?
We do not advertise a shipped DIY kit. We work from ten repeatable models and deliver design, engineering coordination, permitting support and a construction scope defined for the parcel.
Are these prefab cabins?
They are repeatable model designs. Which elements are prefabricated and which are built on site is decided during design, based on access to the parcel and the model chosen.
Can I buy a finished A-Hut cabin that already exists?
No. We do not hold in-stock structures and we do not sell land. Every project begins with a property.
Why is there no kit price list?
Because the parts that vary most in Colorado — access, foundation, utilities, engineering and jurisdiction review — are parcel facts. A number published without them would be misleading.
Is a model-based cabin cheaper than a custom design?
A drawn model removes some early design work and gives you a layout to judge immediately. Total cost still depends on the site, so we give a figure after the property review rather than before.
