How many models does A-Hut offer?
Ten: four A-Frame models, four Barn models, and two Garden Office models.
Why are no prices shown?
Previously published figures are obsolete, and a real number depends on your site, access, foundation, utilities, engineering, and finish level. We give figures after the property and scope review.
Are these completed buildings?
The images are architectural renderings, exterior concepts, and floor plans of the models. We label them accordingly and do not present them as finished projects.
Can a model be modified?
Changes are handled as scope during design review rather than as catalog options. Some changes are straightforward; others affect structure and engineering.
Do you handle permits?
Yes. A-Hut can manage the permitting process for your project — preparing and coordinating the permit package, engaging the licensed engineers and design professionals your parcel requires, submitting or supporting submission to the authority having jurisdiction, responding to plan-review comments, and tracking the application. The exact scope is confirmed in your written project agreement. The permit is issued by the jurisdiction, so we do not guarantee approval or a review timeline.
What areas do you work in?
Our focus is Colorado. Confirmed coverage is discussed per property rather than advertised as a service map — see the service areas page.
Are the structures habitable dwellings?
Occupancy status is decided by your jurisdiction, based on egress, ceiling heights, utilities, and code compliance. It is not a property of the model.
How do I get a floor plan that is not published?
Email or call us and we will send the current drawing. Two models — A-House 800 and Barn Mid-Size — do not have an approved plan image on the site yet, and we will not substitute another model's plan.

A-Frame
Which A-Frame model has two bedrooms?
A-House 1000 is the only A-Frame model in the current lineup with two bedrooms. A-House 450, 520, and 800 are one-bedroom plans.
Is the terrace included?
The terrace is shown as an option on the A-Frame plans. Whether it is part of your scope is decided during the property and scope review.
Can an A-Frame be built on a sloped lot?
Sloped sites are common in Colorado, but feasibility depends on access, foundation design, drainage, and jurisdiction. That is site-specific work, not something a model can guarantee in advance.
Barn
How large is the biggest Barn model?
Barn Large is the largest at 3,150 sq ft total with a 78 ft × 41 ft footprint.
Can a Barn Mini be used as a guest unit?
Whether any structure can be occupied, rented, or counted as a dwelling is a jurisdiction question. We will not promise occupancy status; we look at it for your specific parcel.
Do the small Barn models have a bathroom?
Barn Mini and Barn Compact are each drawn with one bathroom. Utility connections to serve it depend on your site.
Garden Office
What are the dimensions of the Garden Office Compact?
We have not published dimensions for the Compact model yet. The available specifications are being verified against the drawing before they go on the site — contact us and we will send the current sheet.
Is a Garden Office a habitable dwelling?
We design these as workspace and hosting structures. Any habitable or rentable use is a code and permitting question for your jurisdiction.
Can the deck be resized?
The 215 sq ft deck on the Large model is the drawn configuration. Changes are handled as scope during the design review.
